2024 Spring - Genesee County - Burton/Bendle

K-12th Grade Leagues:
Season Format:
This is a 8 week season. Each team has a one hour practice followed by a one hour game each week. Practices and games will take place on Sundays between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm. Younger divisions will play in the earlier time slots.

Week 1: Meet and Greet - This is a 30 minute team meeting followed by a one hour practice. Coaches will distribute jerseys and other equipment ordered in registration at this meeting.
Weeks 2-7: Practice/games - Each team has a one hour practice followed by a one hour game each week.
Week 8: Playoffs for 3rd grade and up
   Final practice/game for K-2nd grade

Practice & Game Locations: Bendle High School (You do not have to be from Bendle Schools to play in the program)
Participants will receive a NBA reversible jersey and individual participation award (for K-2nd Grade only). Only Champion and Runner-up teams will receive a trophy in the 3rd grade and older divisions.

K-2nd Leagues (Coed):
K, 1st and 2nd Grade Divisions are coed. They will play on Sundays (Gym is reserved 8:00 am -9:00 pm). Grades may be combined based on numbers.
K-2nd Grade is a 3 vs. 3, recreational, co-ed format. We try to limit teams to 6 players to maximize playing time. There are no playoffs
 
3rd-8th Grade Girl Leagues:
3rd/4th Grade, 5th/6th Grade and 7th/8th Grade Girls Divisions will play on Sundays (Gym is reserved 8:00 am -9:00 pm). Grades may be combined based on numbers.
The Girls Divisions will be a 5 vs. 5, recreational format. We try to limit teams to 10 players to maximize playing time. Top 4 teams in each division make the playoffs. All other teams will play a consolation game their last week.
 
3rd-12th Grade Boy Leagues:
3rd/4th Grade, 5th/6th Grade, 7th/8th Grade and High School Boys Divisions will play on Sundays (Gym is reserved 8:00 am -9:00 pm). Grades may be combined based on numbers.
The Boys Divisions will be a 5 vs. 5, recreational format. We try to limit teams to 10 players to maximize playing time. Top 4 teams in each division make the playoffs. All other teams will play a consolation game their last week.

We do not combine more than 3 grades in a division. Practice/game times for all divisions could be between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm on Sundays. We will not know exact times until after the registration deadline.

This is an exceptional program for first time players who want to learn the fundamentals of basketball and experienced players. There are no try-outs! Everyone participates!

Meet and Greet: April 6th (ONLY SATURDAY DATE)
First Game: April 7th
Season End Date: May 19th (Last Practice/Game K-2nd Grade, Playoffs for 3rd Grade and up)

Registration Deadline: Friday, March 1st

Registrations will be accepted after the deadline based on availability and will be subject to a $25.00 late fee.
